He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Toomey and Grace Toomey (Grindeland); his former wife Verna Cusey; his parents-in-law, Milt and Dorothy Lussenden; his sister Linda Wennberg; and his granddaughter Hope Toomey.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Lussenden of Moorhead, MN; his children, Michael Toomey (Maria) of Fargo, ND and Stephanie Kannas (Dylan) of Rochester, MN; his grandchildren, Katelynn, Elizabeth, James, Andrew Toomey and Olivia Kannas; and his siblings-in-law, Dale Wennberg, Randy Lussenden (Peg) and Bob (Nancy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to Hope Lutheran Foundation, River Pointe Senior Living or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
