Norma S. Mjelde Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma S. Mjelde of Moorhead, Minnesota, who passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Torgerson and Clarice Torgerson; her husband Vernon C. Mjelde; her children, Sheldon Clay, Shanna Vanlaningham (Robert) and Becky Smeltzer (Clayton); her brother Marvin Torgerson (Rosemary); and her stepfather Otto Will.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Nolte (Gary); her grandchildren, Todd Nolte (Laura Clark) of Wolverton, MN, Angela Schulz (Brian) of Moorhead, MN, Linh Tran (Chung) and Thinh Nguyen of Huntington Beach, CA; her great grandchildren, Amie (Josh), Sarah, Sophie, Jenny (JJ), Hunter and Kobe; her great great grandchildren, Callum and Jocelyn; and her brother Orlin Will (Jule Ann). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church - Moorhead (210 7th St S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials will be given to Sanford Hospice and Trinity Lutheran Church's Emergency Relief Fund.
