She was predeceased by: her parents, George Aamodt and Mabel Aamodt (Roti); her husband Rev. Elwyn Nissen; and her sister Audrey Hostetler (Bud). She is survived by: her children, Deborah Johansen of Gilbert, AZ, Dave Nissen (Stacy) of Bloomington, MN and Dan Nissen (Philmont Boy Scout Ranch) of Kronenwetter, WI; her grandchildren, Leah Witbeck (Boaz) of Mesa, AZ, Aaron Johansen of Gainesville, TX, Alicia Johansen (Valentino Gonzalez) of Baltimore, MD, Andrew Johansen of Phoenix, AZ, Jamie Maas (Kevin) of Bloomington, MN, Ashley Jones (Tyler) of Bloomington, MN and Joseph Nissen (Blythe); and her great grandchildren, Zayden Johansen, Elowyn Witbeck, Maddox Maas, Kenzie Maas, Laykin Jones and Alistar Nissen.
She also enjoyed hand stitching, sewing, and making quilts for all of her children and grandchildren, donating many quilts to missions over the years.
