She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hughes and Mildred Hughes (Jensen); her son Stephen Nicklay; and her siblings, Charlotte Mundstock, Mary Stempson, Charles Hughes and Donald Hughes.
She is survived by: her husband Grant; her children, Connie Nicklay of Moorhead and Erik Ramstad (Rachel) of Fargo; and her grandchildren, Crystal Nicklay, Danielle, Mathieu Nicklay, Sarah and Maria Ramstad. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
