With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joy D. Korsmo of Moorhead, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joy left this world on November 28, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Heimann and Evelyn Heimann (Crowley); her husband Jerry; her daughter Maureen Korsmo-LeCompte; and her brothers, Robert, Jerry and Eugene Heimann.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Korsmo (Barbara), Patrick Korsmo (Jennifer), Kathleen Korsmo and Daniel Korsmo (Jennie); her son-in-law Cris LeCompte; her grandchildren, Amber Korsmo (Jenna), Randi Boyd (Kevin), Kathy Korsmo (Patrick Maziarz), Laycee, Sara, Elizabeth Joy, Thore, Anna Joy Korsmo, Heidi Norberg (Nick) and Katie Rich (Ian); her great grandchildren, Chloe, Nora, Tyler, Mason, Emerit, Kristin and George; and her siblings-in-law, Angela Korsmo and Gordon Lambrecht. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Korsmo Funeral Service (409 8th St S, Moorhead, MN 56561). A prayer was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Nativity Church of Fargo (1825 11th St S, Fargo, ND 58103).
