He is survived by: his wife Sonya Smith; his daughter-in-law Megan; his children, Zachary Drechsel (Megan) and Kristin Nelson (Michael); his mother Joyce "Snookie" Drechsel; his brother Kristopher Drechsel (Susan); and his grandchildren, Amelia Drechsel and Alexander Drechsel.
