She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Hayes and Birdie Hayes (Lee); her husband Billy G. Smith; her daughters, Nancy, Linda and Barbara; her son-in-law Ken Johnson; and her grandson Nicholas Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughter Judy Johnson; her sister Joy Foster; and her grandchildren, Michael, David, Kathy, Tricia, Lisa, Kristopher and Chelsey. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
