With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn M. Nelson of Moorhead, Minnesota, who passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn M. Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ditlef Volness and Amanda Volness (Jacobson); her husband Robert Nelson; her son Darin; her granddaughter Allison Nelson; and her siblings, Harold, Arnold, Elmer, Theodore, Donald, Olveig Volness, Signora Klevgaard, Ruth Skarsvaag, Valborg Smerud, Elsie Roach, Janie Walker and Elsie Volness.
She is survived by: her sons, David, Jim Nelson (Glenda) and Jeff Nelson (Lee Ann); her brother Bob Volness (Carol); and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Volness and Betty Nelson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
