He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene J. Bernhardt Sr. and Magdalena Bernhardt (Roehrich); his siblings, Georgina Serio and Francis "Frank" Bernhardt; and his in-laws, Federica and Pedro Collado Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Mae Bernhardt (Collado); his children, Emily Keeley (Ryan) and Tyler Bernhardt; his grandchildren, Noah Skavhaug, Nathan Keeley, Kaiana Bernhardt and Kaya Bernhardt; and his sisters, Lillian Benesch, Rosemary Ramsett, Marge Klinger (Roy) and Sandi Andersen (Rick). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A prayer was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Boulger Funeral Home (123 10th St S, Fargo, ND 58103). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (710 10th St S, Fargo, ND 58103).
