David left this world on January 22, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Halvorson and Bessie Halvorson (Preisler); and his brother Donald Halvorson. He is survived by: his wife Darlene (Horn); his children, Denice Brewer (Curt) of Moorhead, MN, Dean Halvorson (Teri) of Lancaster, MN, Darcy Josephson (Mark) of Alexandria, MN and Deborah Carlson (Shane) of Halstad, MN; his grandchildren, Derek Brewer, Sam Brewer, Heather Halvorson, Brice Halvorson, Jacob Carlson, Logan Josephson, Cody Carlson, Zach Josephson, Austin Carlson and Connor Josephson; his great grandchildren, Rylee Brewer and David Brewer; and his siblings, Jane Schultz, Peg Gunderson (Dean), Bob Halvorson (Paulette) and Rick Halvorson (Deb). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home and Cremation Service-Moorhead (605 2nd Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A prayer was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (605 2nd Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56560). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of Christ (1900 14th St S, Moorhead, MN 56560).
