He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Brown and Mary Brown; and his brother Michael. He is survived by: his sons, Skyler Brown of Wahpeton, ND and Ryan Brown of Fargo; his stepchildren, Jackie Schwartzman Ehresman (Scott), Kristie Wohlwind, Mark Schwartzman and Thomas Schwartzman; and his sister Sharon Senne (Gerard) of Bismarck. He is also survived by his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Chris chose to donate his body to UND for research at the medical school.
