He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Eugene Ertel, Elaine Ertel, Shirley Ertel, Joel Eddy and Esther Gaspar; his aunt Carla Brown; and his uncle Douglas Forsberg.
He is survived by: his parents, Michael Ertel (Melissa) of Buffalo and Jeri Ertel of St. Francis; his children, Liam and Mackenzie Ertel; his stepdaughter Emily Westphal; his siblings, Toni Willems (Chris) of St. Francis and Anndi Ertel of Buffalo; his grandfather Joe Gaspar; and his aunts, Debbie Helmbrecht (Greg), Penny Berdan (Dave), Jeannie Kramer (Joe) and Sheri Goelz (Pat). He is also survived by many cousins, coworkers, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel (108 Oak Ave N, Maple Lake, MN 55358). A committal service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery - Highway (Hwy 55, Maple Lake, MN 55358).
