He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Schmidt and Emma Schmidt (Mohs); his siblings, Noel Schmidt and Patty Walker (Jim); and his brother-in-law Ronald Queenan.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Kotzenmacher; his children, Scott Schmidt (Mandy) of Puposky, MN, Matthew Schmidt of Monticello, MN and Gina Collins (Travis) of Fridley, MN; his grandchildren, Christian Collins, Aubrey and Payton Schmidt; his sisters, Kay Queenan and Sheila Watschke (Don); his sister-in-law Delaine Schmidt; and his aunt Romona Mohs. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Henry's Catholic Church (1001 E 7th St, Monticello, MN 55362). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
