He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schwietering and Audrey Schwietering (Elletson); and his sisters, Kaye and Roxanna. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Jody, Josh (Jolene) and Jake; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Luke, Nick, Chloe, Nadia, Will and Nate; and his brothers, Bill Jr., Korb (Cheryl) and Tim (Jill). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Buffalo United Methodist Church (609 8th St NW, Buffalo, MN 55313). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
His contributions to the profession were recognized when he was inducted into the Baker's Hall of Fame in 2012.
