It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Swenson of Monticello, Minnesota, born in Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on December 8, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Swenson and Dorothy Swenson (Sibley). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Burkel; his children, Coreen Lenzmeier (Joe) of Clearwater and Jennifer Russo (Bruce) of New Prague; his grandchildren, Jacob (Kalei), Grace, Sophia Lenzmeier, Max, Zoe and Zeke Russo; his great grandchild Isaac Lenzmeier; and his sisters, Pat Hoven, Carol Klag (John), Diana Friemann (Mark) and Marilyn Moore (Jim).

He died one day prior to his wife in the same hospital room, both of them died as a result of Covid-19 under the tender care of the Abbott-Nortwestern hospital staff.
