He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Stokes and Opal Stokes (Hersch); his sister Diane Diederichs-Stokes; and his pet Louie. He is survived by: his close friend Carolyn Blomquist; his children, Jaime Stokes, Amy Stokes, Gina Gill (Doug), Luke Blomquist (Sarah) and Amos Blomquist (Kelly); his stepchildren, Kenny Swanson (Sheryl) and Wanda Penner (Jim); his grandchildren, Derek, Isaac, Dylan, Jeramyah, Brady, Wyatt, Ava, Mya, Vincent, Kreeden, Skylee, Kyan, Ashlyn, Luke, Tyler and Noah; his great grandchild Grace; and his sister Dawn Iverson (Spencer). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
