He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Whaylen and Betty Whaylen (White); and his sister Lizabeth Whaylen. He is survived by: his wife Patti Whaylen; his son Jared Whaylen (Katie); and his siblings, Mike Whaylen, Shelley Rusch (Darrel), Robyn Booher, Dixie Whaylen, Tim Whaylen (Michele) and Lance Whaylen (Kim).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dusty's name are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
