It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Swenson of Monticello, Minnesota, born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Burkel and Geraldine Burkel (Hager); her husband Gary Swenson; and her sisters, Shirley Erickson and Janice Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Coreen Lenzmeier (Joe) of Clearwater and Jennifer Russo (Bruce) of New Prague; her grandchildren, Jacob (Kalei), Grace, Sophia Lenzmeier, Max, Zoe and Zeke Russo; her great grandchild Isaac Lenzmeier; and her brother Mike Burkel.

They both died as a result of Covid-19 under the tender care of the Abbott Northwestern Hospital staff.
