She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph F. Schleis and Sophie Janovsky Schleis; her son Donald (Debra); her grandsons, Scott F. Fried of St. Paul and Mark L. Fried of Prior Lake, MN; her son Richard Jr.; and her siblings, Mahlon Schleis (Doreen) of Stillwater, MN and Dorothy Bendickson of Minneapolis, MN.. She was also cherished by three nieces and one nephew.
