He is survived by: his former wife Rita Kaderlik; his wife Rita Thornton of Montgomery; his children, Stephanie Stage (Tony) of Katy, TX., Thomas Thornton (Sarah) of Gresham, OR., Jeff Birdsell (Jan), Tony Birdsell (Linda) of Montgomery and Tim Birdsell (Cindy) of Montgomery; his grandchildren, Forrest Drengler, Delia Thornton, Brooke Vandervoort, Kale Drengler, Jason Birdsell, Tyson Birdsell and Justin Birdsell; and his siblings, Michael Thornton of California and Jacqueline McCall of California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
