He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Simon and Clara Simon (James); his grandson Cody Simon; and his brother Andrew. He is survived by: his significant other Pattie Bell of Montgomery; his children, Wendy Simon of Polk City, IA, Samantha Simon (Rod Decker) of Fredericksburg, VA, Stephani Dorsey (Chuck) of Bloomington, Scott Simon (Lindsay Allen) of Montgomery, Stewart Simon (Sabrina) of Cardington, OH, Sabrina Simon (Mike Carter) of Blue Springs, MO, Rick Bell (Heidi) of New Prague and Rhonda Campion (Dustin) of Shakopee; his siblings, Jon Simon (Donna) of Farmington, Julie Murrell (Tom) of Etna, WY and Sue Schmitt (Mark) of Sierra Vista, AZ; and his sister-in-law Ruth Simon of Rosemount. He is also survived by grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to restore the bottling department sign on the outside of the building in Steve's honor.
