He is survived by: his children, Jim Jakes (Lisa) of Montgomery, Sheila Jakes (Mary) of Faribault and Kimberly Jakes (Jeremy) of Le Center; and his siblings, Marvin Jakes Sr. of Montgomery and Dorothy Spoors of Faribault. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
