He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Chlan and Agnes Chlan (Sempaur); his siblings, Tom Chlan, George Chlan and Agnes Noiske; and his granddaughter Teresa Otero.
He is survived by: his wife Hedi Chlan of Montgomery; his children, Hedi Pelowski (Bill) of Montgomery, Aggie Otero (Ray) of Riverside California, Susan Olson (Richard) of Faribault and Linda Chlan Grindle (James) of Lakeville; his grandchildren, Brian Pelowski (Mia), Jeff Pelowski, Kevin Pelowski, Kathy Carlson (Nate) and Margaret Hanson; his great grandchild Drew Pelowski; and his brother Emil Chlan (Gertie) of New Prague. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
