He was predeceased by: his father Gary Erickson. He is survived by: his mother Noreen Erickson (Capistran) of Montevideo; his wife Paula Larson; his children, Hannah Erickson of South St and Noah Erickson of Montgomery; his sister Diane Thorne (Gary) of Nevada; and his parents-in-law, Eugene and Joanne Larson of Faribault.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to an animal rescue of donor's choice, in respect of Joel's love of animals.
