He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Franklin and Mabel Thomas (O'Brien); his wife Virginia "Ginny" Thomas; and his siblings, Marjorie Lonergan (Pat) and William Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Jeannine Mogan of Biwabik, Mike Thomas of Duluth, Colleen Traxler (Michael) of New Prague and Dan Thomas (Sharon) of Bloomington; and his grandchildren, Melissa Vining (Kyle), Kyle Mogan (Micky Marroquin), Matthew Thomas, John Traxler, Sally Traxler and Tommy Traxler.
