He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his daughter Kate Eggers-Leaf (John Leaf); his siblings, Thomas Eggers, Bob Eggers, Tim Eggers, Carmen Ostenson (Lanny), Sue Doose (Greg) and Karen Slepica (Mark); his mother-in-law Marguerite Hansen; and his siblings-in-law, Jocelyn Hansen, Jody Milliken (Brian), Steven Hansen (Margaret), David Hansen (Kathy), Kevin Hansen (Susan), John Hansen (Alma), Jim Hansen (Jennifer), Tom Hansen, Jeff Hansen (Sally), Michael Hansen (Paulette) and Richard Hansen (Heather). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A prayer was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home (418 N 5th St, Montevideo, MN 56265). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (321 N 5th St, Montevideo, MN 56265). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM.
