The memory of Michael Groothuis of Montevideo, Minnesota, who passed away on February 28, 2025 at the age of 66, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Groothuis and Marlus Groothuis (Byrd). He is survived by: his wife Karinda Jordre; his children, Corbin of Jessup, MD, Ethan of Washington, D. C. and Kalina of Duluth; and his siblings, Rick (Jane) of Maynard, Steven of Maynard and Mary of Mankato. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Rock Haven Church (716 Benson Rd, Montevideo, MN 56265). A prayer was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, nonperishable food items are preferred.
