He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich Winter and Anna Winter (Kruse); his former wife Lorraine Drawert; his siblings, Alfred, Viola, Leora, Leonard and Lucinda; and his stepdaughter Mollie Jaenisch.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hinderks; his sons, Garret (Sue) of Montevideo, Daniel (Heidi) of Glenwood and Timothy (Kellie) of Kelley, IA; his grandchildren, Erich Winter (Jayme) of Montevideo, Ross Winter (Mistie) of Montevideo, Katie Krumwiede (Will) of West Fargo, ND, Jacob and Annie Winter of Kelley, IA; his great grandchildren, Jonah, Caleb Winter of Montevideo, Ellie, Wim and Andi Krumwiede of West Fargo, ND; his stepchildren, Chuck Hinderks (Beci) and Jayne Franklin; and his brother Elmer Winter. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
