He is survived by: his wife Natalaya; his children, Julia Maines (Jackson) and Ilya Kagan; his grandchildren, Veronica Maines, John Maines, Katia Kagan and Rochelle Kagan; and his sister Jane Yudilevich.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's favorite charity.
