It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Shapiro (Minnetonka, Minnesota), who passed away on June 29, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Fred Shapiro; and her parents, Jean Rosenzweig and Nate Rosenzweig. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Wendy and Rich; her grandchildren, Jordan, Zachary Shear, Talia, Josie and Nathan Shapiro; her brother Jerry Rosenzweig (Audrae); and her close friend Al Levitt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation or donor's favorite charity.
