She was predeceased by: her husband Mel; her daughter Margaret Garding; and her son-in-law Steve Rand. She is survived by: her children, Mary Kay Burgess (Peter), Mike Whelan (Sue), Patricia Rand, Betsy Jenks (Jim), Tom Whelan (Jane), Jean Nelson (Scott) and Will Whelan; and her son-in-law John Garding.
