We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2024, at the age of 98, Elmer Peter Schumer of Minnetonka, Minnesota, born in Saint Stephen, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Schumer and Agnes Schumer (Smoley); his wife Kathleen Heinen (Kitty); and his siblings, Walter, Lorraine, Olivia, Veronica and Edna.

He is survived by: his children, LuAnn Berg, Russ Schumer (Judith), Bill Schumer (Rhonda), Kathy Mueller (Terry), Bonnie Schumer and Debbie Schumer; his grandchildren, Michael Berg, Jessica Berg, Mitch Schumer, Mistica Schumer, Kelly Gannon (Jake), Peter Schumer, Kyle Schumer (Erin), Nick Mueller (Jamie), Laura Weidlich (Scott), Blake Mueller (Suzy), Krista Mueller, Melissa Trebil (Chase), Ryan Fuller (Rebecca), Annie Walters (Grant), Michel Fuller (Meara) and Joe Fuller (Madison); and his great grandchildren, Desmond Schumer, Cooper Mueller, Michael Weidlich and Lucia Walters.
