He is survived by: his wife Eileen Roston (Karatz); his children, Jodi Danovsky (Jeff), Todd Roston (Heidi) and Howard Roston (Paula); his grandchildren, Joshua, Sydney, Julia, Alison, Brian, Carly, Isaac, Samantha and Madison; and his sister Maggie Roston.

“Dave was a great lawyer and, best of all, a great friend. When I was a brand new Richfield prosecutor I was bless to have Dave as a public defender "opponent". He zealously defended his clients, but was always fair and kind. I learned a lot from him. Luckily, after I started my own firm, we remained good friends.
