It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mervin E. Eischens of Minneota, Minnesota, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Eischens and Magdalena Eischens (Baierl); his wife Velma; his son Johnny; his grandson Seth Kallevig; and his siblings, Joseph, Clarence, Herman, Silverius, Susan Beck, Josephine Troye, Genevieve Jelen, Florence Braun, Magdalen Kapolczynski, Bernice Roles and Lillian Sanow.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maureen Panka (Dave) of Ivanhoe, MN, Kathy Pesch (Kurt) of Perham, MN, Patty Kallevig (Kim) of Osakis, MN, Louise Eischens of Marshall, MN, Carol Oakland (Mark) of Minneota, MN, Joyce Eischens of Marshall, MN and Mary Jo Kor (Mike) of Oelwein, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Ramona Buysse, Lucille Qunell and Phyllis Birk (Wally). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
During COVID, he lived in Ivanhoe with Maureen and Dave, then this past year in Osakis with Patty and Kim, and also Joyce, helping with his care.
