He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelstein Johnson and Anne Johnson (Esping); his stepmother Clara; his siblings, Orlando Johnson (Irene), Gordon Johnson, Arlet Olson (Al), Annabelle Claeys (Francis) and Esther Johnson; his sister-in-law Marie Karolczak (Mike); and his grandson Craig Ahmann.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Kuchera; his children, Ken Johnson (Jan) of Foley, Pat Brennecke of Mahtomedi, Denise Ahmann (Mike) of Minneota and Gail Yutrzenka (Don) of Argyle; his grandchildren, Adam Johnson (Holly), Luke Johnson (Amber), Sarah Brennecke, Elliot Brennecke (Mandy), Claire Brennecke (Kevin), Abby Thostenson (Joe), Candice Ahmann, Connor, Lance and Max Yutrzenka; his great grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah Johnson, Hudson, Alexis, Ivy Thostenson, Reeve and Kellen Ahmann; and his sister-in-law Alta Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
