It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Matthys (Minneota, Minnesota), born in Wood Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on December 14, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wambeke and Mary Wambeke (VanOverbeke); her husband James; her daughter Linda Stolp; her grandson Tyler Cuhel; and her brothers, Donald Wambeke and Richard Wambeke.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Jay Stolp of Milroy; her children, Brenda Petersen of St. Cloud, FL, Lisa Cuhel (Mark) of Winsted and Scott Matthys (Bonnie) of Wood Lake; her grandchildren, Dustin Stolp (Heather), Tiffany Guetter (Cole), Sean Petersen, Mackenzie Petersen, Samantha Pierce (Jared), Cody Cuhel (Jessika), Adam Cuhel, Brandy VanWinkle (Matt) and Jimmy Kerby (Kailey); her great grandchildren, Asbjorn, Kjell, Cora, Chase, Gabriel, Brooklyn, Ryelan, Maven and Eliana; her siblings, John Wambeke (Celine), Daniel Wambeke (Helen), Bernard Wambeke (Darlene), Maryann Beebout and Diane Rude (Wendel); and her sister-in-law Bev Wambeke.
