She was predeceased by: her parent Soo Boom; her husband Chul U; and her son-in-law Kim (Dong Hak). She is survived by: her brothers, Sin (Yong Gil) of South Korea, Yong Joo of South Korea, Yong Duk of South Korea and Yong Ji of South Korea; her children, Sang Yoon (Kim) of South Korea and Mun Suk Paulson (David) of Aitkin; her daughter-in-law Choi (Me Young); and her grandchildren, Joon Ho, Kim, Min Seok, Min Mo, John Paulson, Melissa Leonard and Ellen Yi.
In 1995, she received recognition for her outstanding contribution to New York City Parks as a volunteer.
