He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Brekkestran (Haugen) and Leonard Brekkestran; his siblings, Earl, Melroy, Arvin, Janet Olson and Marlys Brekkestran; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Hilla, Marlys Grant, Gloria Ecker, Raymond, Joe, Donald Ecker, Glen Grant and Snosh Hilla.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick (Shery) and Randy (Brenda); his wife Dora; his daughter Kari Brenna (Tony); his grandchildren, Austin, Cadin, Tayli Brekkestran, Josh, Natalie Brekkestran, Kara Thyng (Brett) and Daniel Mosbeck (Pia); his great grandchildren, Kody, Nolan Lubarski and Caitlyn Thyng; his stepgrandchildren, Terra Davis (Chad), Megan and Alesha Brenna; his siblings, Galen (Sharon), Dwight Brekkestran (Patty), Erma Dahl (Larry), Arlette Majer (Laurel), Bonnie Ward (Ron) and Lynell Talmage; and his siblings-in-law, Bernie Ecker, Bob Eisel, Karen Carlson (Craig), Eleanor Munden and Peggy Ecker. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Due to Covid-19 concerns a Memorial Service will presumably be held in spring/summer of 2021.
