He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Mathilde; his sister Virginia; and his daughter-in-law Susan Palo Cherwien (David). He is survived by: his wife Marian (Hove); his children, Thomas (Diane), Paul (Christine), David, Mary Lechelt (David) and Stephen (Kathy); and his brother Daniel (Arlene). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church (3045 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407). A requiem service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church (3045 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407).
Memorials may go to Mount Olive Lutheran Church Music Fund, National Lutheran Choir, or Beacon Hill Presbyterian Homes Foundation.
