He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Schmiesing and Arline Schmiesing (Blomquist); his sister Gretchen Peppin; his niece Hannah Bauer; his brother-in-law Terry Locher; and his grandparents, Fred, Mary Schmiesing (Frederickson), Algot and Evelyn Blomquist (Ouren).
He is survived by: his siblings, Sue Leske (Duane), Stephanie Kolbe (Doug), Linda Kraus (Larry), Kim White (Matt), Mark (Karee), Lane (Jody) and Scott Schmiesing (Tracey); and his brother-in-law Mike Peppin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
