It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvester R. Marks (Minneapolis, Minnesota), born in Sisseton, South Dakota, who passed away on May 24, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, David and Lydia Marks; his parent Doris Marks; his siblings, Betty Lafromboise and Samuel Barse; and his grandchildren, Travis Thompson, Colter Arbach and Lilleigh White.
He is survived by: his wife Doreen Rainey; his friend Gloria Hanson; his brother Leland Marks of Lemmon, SD; his children, Colin Kelly Thompson of Sisseton, Kim Thompson of Sisseton and Jack Thompson of Watertown, SD; his grandchildren, Troy Thompson (Krissy Gravez), Preston Jones (Dixie), Angelo White, Bailey Thompson, Justin Arbach, David White, Jr., Asa White (Shelby Neilan) and Gia Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Amara Adams, Jeriyan Adams, Jariyas Arbach, Layla White, Hazel Neilan, Hartlee Neilan, Tiara Thompson, Lola Thompson, Juelz Thompson, Tristan White, Colin White, Khloe White and Ariana Jones. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
