It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Sheldon L. Mandel (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away at the age of 97, on April 30, 2020. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stelle Mandel and Maurice Mandel; his brothers, Seymour, Nisson and Irwin; his siblings-in-law, Marjorie, Petrena and Raphael; and his wife Patricia Evans.

He is survived by: his daughter Melissa (Jon Crow); his grandchildren, Jack and Piper; his sisters, Lois Weisberg and Diane Tygier (Sandra Mandel); his brother-in-law Roger Tygier; and his son-in-law Jon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Also a thank you to the Water's on 50th, where he lived; and to all the nurses, doctors and staff at Methodist Hospital, where he received the best care when he went in with COVID19.

He "held" my hand when I was afraid I had skin cancer and referred me to one of his graduate students, who distinguished himself in New Mexico, where I now live.
