He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Vermes and Frances Vermes. He is survived by: his wife Lois Conner Vermes; his sister Sandy Lavintman (Art); his grandmother Paula Chodash (Mark); and his grandchildren, Harrison, Ian, Tory, Lexi and Sadie.
