He was predeceased by: his significant other Cyla Bonk; his daughter Charlene; his parents, Chava Rafowitz and Kesel Rafowitz; his sister Helen; and his siblings-in-law, Idelle Bonk, Max Schwartz and Chaim Bonk.

He is survived by: his son Ivan; his close friend Sandra Mandel; his daughter-in-law Tina; his son Ken Rafowitz (Dan Porter); his grandchildren, Adam and Mia Rafowitz; his nieces and nephews, Hava Schwartz Cohen, Rita Schwartz Rosen (Harvey), Melinda Bonk, Leslie Bonk, Ivan Bonk (Jill), Marc Bonk and Ruven Schwartz (Wendy); and also, Dan Porter and Grace.

His passing is made more difficult by current Covid-19 circumstances, but his family and friends find comfort knowing both his story and his character will be remembered.
