She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Thompson and Genevieve Thompson (Casutt); her siblings, Jack Thompson and Joan Loes; and her siblings-in-law, Fred Geiser, Dr. Louis Loes and Mary Thompson of Virginia.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy of Warsaw, VA, Joan, Ruth of Richmond, VA, Paul (Laura) of LaGrange Park, IL, David of Minneapolis, MN and Steve (Christine) of North Oaks, MN; her grandchildren, Colleen Coghlan, David Coghlan (Anh), Bridget Coghlan McMillion (Patrick), Brian Coghlan (Debbie), Sara Finnegan, Ella Finnegan, Sarah Finnegan, Quinn Finnegan and Colin Finnegan; her great grandchildren, Ailish McMillion, Elenora McMillion and Maureen Coghlan; and her siblings, Paul Thompson (Mary) of Richmond, VA and Anne Geiser of Athens, GA..
