Rubi Abreu Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2020, at the age of 94, Rubi Abreu of Minneapolis, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dionisio Garcia and Caridad Garcia (Gonzales); her husband Manuel Abreu-Roch; her grandson Michael Lundberg; and her brothers, Javier and Raul Garcia.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cuba, Carmen Lundberg of Apple Valley and Maria Edlund (John) of Savage; her grandchildren, Marcia Schaff (Charlie), Mara Campagna-Pinto (Matt) and Jon Eric Edlund; her great grandchildren, Mikayla, Davin, Elli, Cami, Haley, Nadia, Rubi and Gigi; and her sister-in-law Celia Garcia.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private family services will be held graveside on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Czech National Cemetery in New Prague and a private family Celebration of Life Service at Minnesota Valley Lutheran Church in Lakeville on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
She was high-spirited, determined, and resilient and carved out a life for her daughters that gave them a foundation forged by hard work and independence, but also contained the balance of humor and a fun-loving spirit.
