He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Blakey and Josie Blakey; and his sister Marian Spencer. He is survived by: his sister B. J. French (Minneapolis) of Key West; and his nieces, Kim Mahling of Senegal and Keri Pickett of Minneapolis.
