She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lang and Vera Berkowitz Lang; her husband Carl; her son Robert; her sisters, Flora and Sylvia; her siblings-in-law, Sidney, Sheyla Sharpe, Molly Lupe and Ruthie Dveris; her niece Susan Gordon; and her cousin Max Goodman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki Bacal (Herb), Linda Sharpe, Margie Hayes and Deborah Sharpe; her grandchildren, Jon Bacal (Lisa), Reuvain Bacal, Alison Hoette (Jay), Sarah Newman, Liz Royce (David), Josh Royce (Mark), Jennifer Newman Sharpe (Charlie), Jeremy Sharpe (Lexy), Charlie Sharpe and Natalie Sharpe; her great grandchildren, Lincoln, Charlie, Zahara, Marin, Birk, William, James, Robby, Lionel and Talia; her nieces, Carol (Jim), Patricia, Teri (Paul), Sylvia, Margo (Jeff), Robin (Bryan), Marcey (Neil), Nori (Lyle) and Lisa (Tom); her nephew Michael (Robyn); her cousin Edith Goodman; her caregivers, Rosemary, Betty, Tutu, Sabrina, Rejoice, Jessie and Valerie; her friends, Sue, Kent and Geri; and also Deborah Newman Sharpe. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Rose Jean's journey of 11 decades began in St. Paul on Aug. 4, 1918, the daughter of Harry Lang and Vera Berkowitz Lang, who died four months later at 22 in the Spanish Flu pandemic.
