He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlais Nafstad and H. Norman Nafstad; and his parents-in-law, Ruby and Vince Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Barb (Lee Johnson); his children, Tracee Koneru (Sri), Alex Nafstad, Jamie Peterson (Jim) and Jacqueline Nafstad; his grandchildren, Aiden, Noah Koneru, James, Logan, Hunter and Andrew Peterson; and his siblings, Patricia Mattson, Gary Nafstad, Richard Nafstad, Linda Prinsen, Debra Pearson and Gregg Nafstad. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rush Creek Golf Club (7801 County Rd 101, Maple Grove, MN 55311). A prayer was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials preferred to the North Memorial Health Foundation.
