He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Wales Puffer and Gladys Marie Ploof Puffer; his wife Mary Pearl Ewing Puffer; his sister Patricia Sodman; his sister-in-law Evelyn Puffer; his siblings, James Puffer and Marcy Randall (Larry); his children, Teresa Teri, Linda Puffer Knipp (John), Mark Puffer (Cheryl) and Patrice Puffer; his grandchildren, Nicholas Puffer, Nolan Wisen, Noah Wisen, Natiana Wisen and Max Puffer; and his great grandchild Isobel Wisen. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Disabled American Veterans or American Heart Association.
